HMS President's Boat Hire Blog - The Christmas Parties Begin! 14/12/09

This week begins with a large London-based marketing firm hiring out the boat for their Christmas Party to finish their work for the year with a big celebration together.

The Christmas Parties then continue throughout Tuesday and Wednesday where the boat is being hired privately. Both parties will be supplied with top entertainment from London, while being looked after by our polite and friendly staff.

On Thursday we have yet another Christmas party on the boat, the biggest of the week with hundreds of guests expected and maybe some famous faces - watch this space!

Then comes Friday with another marketing firm's Christmas party taking place here on the boat, hopefully we wont be too Christmas-partied out by this point!

HMS President Boat Hire Update!

Last week was as busy as always! We have had a wide variety of different things going on, see below for a chronological run down of events…

On Monday the dining area was being hired for a luxurious private lunch for a few exclusive executives. We often get in a variety of different chefs from different parts of the world cooking up a feast for many.

Tuesday there was a Christmas Party being thrown for a Blue Chip accounting firm to electorate this festive time of year. There are many more similar parties to follow over the coming weeks.

Then came Wednesday and we had a night with the Big Band 'Any Swing Goes' to celebrate their 10th Anniversary on board. It was an amazing performance they had a full house to join them in their celebrations!

Thursday began with the conference room being hired for a meeting on the latest xray technology in Airport security. It was a very large conference and things seemed to go well. Later in the evening there was a champagne reception for a London city Law firm, again celebrating the Christmas season.

On Friday the boat was used for a delicious 4 course meal with over 200 guests formally seated in one of London's finest private restaurant venues.

Then came the weekend starting on Saturday where we had 350 Law School students, again celebrating this festive time of year hiring the boat out in London.

The week finally came to an end on Sunday even with a big party of guests dancing the night away.

HMS President - What's Happening?

This week there is a lot going on on the HMS President as always!

- We have a very large pharmaceutical company conference taking place, so hygiene is top of the list!

- There is a Blue-Chip AGM, another conference!

- Later in the week we will be on our best behavior for a meeting of 10 Directors from a leading Law Firm!

- To finish the week we have 210 Scotsmen (in kilts) celebrating St. Andrews day. They are being provided with a five course lunch (with whiskey) so lots of Haggis and dancing!

- On Sunday we are hosting a Ceroc Dance, all are welcome! Come and jive the afternoon away in a luxurious venue! Then later in the evening we have the London Improvisers Orchestra performing - all welcome!

Boat Hire London - HMS President Update

It has been a very busy weekend on the HMS President as always!

We hosted a 4 course VIP dinner for the Lord Mayor and City Livery Club for 245 guests. This included a luxurious viewing of the London fireworks which are renowned for being amazing each year!

Tonight we are having a Birthday Party hiring the boat with an international entertainer on board for some top quality entertainment.

Later this week we have a speed boat treasure hunt where delegates will be team building in style. Then the boat is being hired out for a meeting of Ex-Spitfire Pilots which will be fun-filled from begin to end with some incredible stories!

The Last Few Weeks on The HMS President

Huge weekend of events have taken place in the last week or so on the ultimate party venue, London. See below for more details of these:

This weekend we had two huge private Halloween parties – and the costumes were really freaky!! We pimped the boat out to cater for this and it was a big success with the guests who had a fantastic time!

On Friday there was a private 18th Birthday party – with vodka luges, award winning cocktail flair barmen, the UK’s no.1 street dance troop to wow the guests! ...and the paparazzi were in full force...

Then came Sunday when we had a memorial service for Remembrance Day, the submariners association to be specific. There were the UK’s top MOD commanders on board enjoying the fantastic venue and remembering those who gave their lives for us all those years ago!

On Sunday evening we had a 50th birthday celebration for 300 guests who really enjoyed themselves and said how much they would love to use the boat again!
